Hillcrest have now completed works on the St. Johns Catholic Primary School project for our client, Tilbury Douglas Construction Ltd.

We supplied circa 80tonnes of steelwork, which including pre-cambered beams, on-site stud welding, arc welding and the Easi-Edge supply/installation.

It was a great success, we had the pleasure of working with a great team from Tilbury Douglas and are grateful to have been given to opportunity to be a part of the project.

Southampton Amateur Rowing Club – Woolston Rowing Regatta

It’s been a pleasure being able to sponsor the Woolston Rowing Regatta, due to take place in July 2025, with some of our very own employees taking part!

Southampton Amateur Rowing Club hold their annual rowing regatta on Weston Shore every year. They form part of the Hants & Dorset Rowing Association for which there are 13 South Coast clubs all competing against one another, out at sea, in various status and ages from under 16 to over 50, men and women.

Our Estimating Manager, Jake Bashford and Estimator, Will kyle, will both be taking part in various races to help raise money for the club which contributes to equipment’s, blades and boat maintenance and, aids in organising/funding the yearly regatta.

Great Ormond Street Hospital – Charity

It was an honour to be able to participate in Mace interiors initiative on the 21 Bloomsbury Street Project, to collect and donate toys for the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Donating an array of toys suitable for various ages, we hope it bought much happiness and enjoyment to the incredibly brave young patients over the festive period.

Completion of Moxon Street

We have now completed our works on the Moxon Street project in London for our client, Kier London.

We provided 40 prefabricated bridges and new welded frames for the scenic lift shafts, along with an on-site 60 minute intumescent finish, installation of Easi-edge and supporting the M&E subcontractors with the installation of pedestals, pipework and electrical items.

The project has been a great success and one Hillcrest are proud to have been given the opportunity to be a part of.

Skyway Link Bridge

Structural Steel design awards 2022 – Merit Awarded for LCT 7074 Canopy The D-Day Story Portsmouth

A merit was awarded to LCT 7074 Canopy, The D-Day Story, Portsmouth Project. The Judges comments “A floating canopy supported by raking steel pylons reminiscent of beach defences of the past announces this new museum. The judges were impressed by the balance of the design which creates a positive sense of place for visitors and whose form is referential and empathetic with the unique landing craft it covers.”” Congratulations to the whole team involved in this project, Including main contractor: Ascia Construction Ltd the Architect: Pritchard Architecture and Structural engineer: Mann Williams.

Structural Steel Design Awards 2022 – The Central Atrium at Hilltop, RHS Wisley- commendation awarded

Hillcrest Structural Ltd attended this year’s Structural Steel Design Awards 2022 and were delighted that The Central Atrium at Hilltop, RHS Wisley was awarded a commendation. The judges comment “The elegant, steel grillage gives a lightweight aesthetic to the glass atrium and external canopy that would not have been possible in other materials. The attention to detailing on all the exposed connections, despite the complex geometry of the roof was truly commendable.” Congratulations to the whole team involved in the project, Including the main contractor: Osborne, Architect: WilkinsonEyre and Structural engineer: Michael Barclay Partnership LLP
